Our next tip is from Elizabeth Caroline, a trained holistic therapist and advanced cosmecuetical skincare consultant for more than 15 years. After seeing her mother battle breast cancer, she now incorporates her holistic work with advanced cosmetics. Her desire to help others saw her train in a number of therapies, including massage, Reiki Healing, cosmecuetical skincare techniques, as well as Ayurvedic and Eastern Therapies. This variety of training has helped Elizabeth to hone her skills as a therapist, and to satisfy her thirst for knowledge surrounding the science of skincare. She has trained with a Buddhist tutor and Shamanic healer for more than 10 years, as well as training at The International Psychic College to fine tune her intuitive skills, enabling her to work on a much deeper level with her clients.

Elizabeth is also ambassador for the A Lift micro current system  and is at the NEC  Beauty UK show this weekend with Nouveau Contour Group

Elizabeth’s Tip:

Stress can play a major factor in the ageing process. When we are stressed our adrenal glands produce the stress hormone cortisol. Cortisol can actually raise the sugar levels in our blood, and in turn, these raised sugar levels cause a process called glycation to occur in the body. Glyaction is a chemical process which causes damage to the protein collagen within our skin, sugar molecules latch on to the collagen fibres and cause them to stiffen. Try to manage your stress levels with things such as yoga, meditation, or getting out in nature to simply relax. I infuse mood enhancing essential oils in my home and spa all the time. Great stress busting oils such as Vetiver, Geranium, Lavender and Frankincense are really effective, just add a few drops to oil burner or hot bowl of water and take 10 minutes just to be silent whilst you deeply inhale the scent of the oils
