Most of us exercise to lose weight or to firm and tone but a little exercise each week can me a major boost to our mental state and as we go in to full winter this could be a great time to start!!

1. Reversing the effect of stress: According to research 30 minutes aerobic work out helps to reduce stress and increases the production of brain soothing chemicals – also women doing 455 minutes of vigorous exercise 3 times per week aged more slowly than those who were sedentary.

3. Anti Depressant:  burning 350 calories 3 times a week has shown to reduce symptoms of depression.

4. Feeling of euphoria – interval training has shown that it can keep a person happier during the whole day. Just sprint for 30 – 40 seconds then slow to a gentle pace and after 5 minutes at the lower pace, sprint again for 30 – 40 seconds – repeat 4 to 5 times.  This can have the effect of mind boosting throughout the day.

5. Finally physical activities have shown to boost brain cells to improve learning and keep the brain active in older years.
