A Charitable Foundation launches this month to provide help and advice to thousands of botched cosmetic surgery victims in the UK.

A New Charitable Foundation has formed and launched this month to offer advice, support, expert help and funding to victims of botched cosmetic surgery and treatments. Resurge is the first charitable foundation in the UK of its kind.

The initiative to set up the foundation follows a number of increasing claims for medical negligence made against cosmetic surgeons, doctors, clinics, manufacturers of medical devices and cosmetic surgery companies whom have left patients with results that are either clearly unacceptable visibly upsetting to victims, and in some cases pose a health risk to victims.

Notable cases of cosmetic surgery gone wrong in recent years include the very tradgic and sad death of Denise Hendry, the wife of former Scotland football captain Colin Hendry, who contracted a serious infection as she recovered from an operation to correct a botched routine liposuction surgery.

The recent French Manufactured PIP Implants healthscare and scandal has also  highlighted the fact that there is a clear need for support and advice for people that have had an adverse experience with cosmetic surgery or cosmetic procedures.

Resurge founder: Antonia Mariconda believes that “whatever the cause of an unsatisfactory cosmetic surgery procedure or aesthetic treatment the people affected deserve explanations, support, and where appropriate, compensation, but most importantly the chance to restore the aesthetic issues and concerns safely”,

Resurge has been flooded by thousands of women this month concerned about PIP Implants used during Breast Augmentation proceedures, unsure of where or who to turn to to rectify their concerns, Resurge has stepped in and is free offering crucial expert medical advice, access to clinics, surgeons,  medical professionals and legal experts all willing to help the flood of anxious and worried patients.

The public can contact The Resurge Foundation via info@resurgefoundation.com or by visiting www.resurgefoundation.com
