Further studies have shown caffeine to be a hero in fighting skin cancer, trials show that using a topical application of caffeine may help with filtering out harmful UVB rays.  Caffeine appears to protect against certain types of cancer at a molecular level and inhibits a protein in the skin called ATR.

Caffeine has already proven benefits when a trial showed that coffee drinking reduced the risk of non-melanoma skin cancer and now there is great excitement as topical applications have been associated with a decreased risk of sun induced skin cancer.  Priori skin care are ahead of the game in this and have coffee berry extract in their skin care.
